Asco Motors Nadi joins in the Bula Spirit.
On the sunny western coast of Fiji, Asco Motors Nadi branch happily joined the Nadi Bula Festival parade last Saturday. The Bula Festival is Nadi’s annual charity run festival and is hosted by the tourism town every year. Bula is the Fijian term for hello, and is a popular Fijian word that many a tourist have come to know and appreciate. Nadi being a tourist based town, acknowledges this, and credits its annual festival with the term bula!
2010 saw 14 young ladies vying for the title Miss Bula and on the opening festival parade, Asco Motors Nadi Branch provided transportation for the young beauties. Some of the contestants were stationed on the Quintrex boat with others on a Toyota Hilux and the remainder on the Toyota Fortuner.
Asco Motors Nadi Branch Manager Subhas Chandra says, “This is just another way we are supporting our local community. The proceeds of the Bula Festival goes to charity and we are happy that our participation will contribute positively to the people of Nadi”.
The week-long festival culminates with the crowning of the 2010 Miss Bula on Saturday 4th December, 2010.
