Asco Motors today became the newest accredited Motor Vehicle Inspection Agency for the Land Transport Authority (LTA).

LTA Board Member Commander Mosese Semi yesterday launched the Asco Motors Vehicle Inspection Agency, at Asco Motors Nabua head office, in the presence of senior management and staff of both organisations. Asco Motors is the first dealership in Fiji to receive such accreditation, to be based at its Suva operations.

Asco Motors Chief Executive Officer, Mr Abdul Hafiz said, “This is a proud moment for Asco Motors, in being the first auto dealership to provide this service and it shows LTA’s confidence and trust in Asco Motors. For our customers, this service is an added value which we can offer them when they bring in their vehicles for servicing.”

Asco Motors invested approximately FJD$14,000 in equipping the new agency and two Toyota technicians went through training at the LTA in preparation. As a result, Toyota vehicle owners who bring their vehicles to Asco Motors for servicing each month, can also get their vehicles fitness tested and certified for road worthiness.

“We know that time is an important commodity for our many customers. This service is sure to enhance their convenience and will save our customers valuable time,” said Mr Sanjeet Kumar, Asco Motors’ National Service Manager. He added, “This launch brings to an end months of discussions and meetings between the two organizations, fine tuning everything and it is wonderful to see it reach fruition.”

The new Asco Motors Vehicle Inspection Agency will primarily be servicing existing Asco Motors Toyota customers. Interested customers are encouraged to make their bookings in advance.
