Asco Motors Yamaha recently carried out a 2-day service clinic at the Royal Suva Yacht Club.

Yamaha outboard owners had the chance to take advantage of a 2-day free service clinic provided by the Asco Motors Yamaha service team on Friday 11th and Saturday 12th February.

According to Yamaha Manager, Mr Rupeni Matakibau, “Servicing outboard engines regularly is important in ensuring that the engine is well maintained. Additionally, it minimises the chance of a breakdown while out at sea,” he says.

During the two days of the service clinic, Yamaha technicians carried out general servicing of outboards which included cleaning out spark plugs, checking the fuel system, changing gear box and engine oil, checking propellers and carrying out checks on the fuel filter & oil filter.

Although the service clinic was aimed at Yamaha outboard owners, Yamaha generator owners also utilized the opportunity to get their generators serviced.

The Yamaha team has also scheduled a service clinic in Labasa and Lautoka on 25th & 26th February 2011.

The Labasa clinic will be held at the Government Wharf on the two days, whereas the Lautoka clinic will be held at the Lautoka wharf.
