Asco Motors Fiji readies for delivery the next batch of government leased vehicles. The leasing arrangement was possible through the financing of the Bank of the South Pacific.
The leasing agreement signed in July this year covers a four year lease period and ensures that Asco Motors will supply the Fiji Government a total of 132 new Toyota’s through BSP’s financing. Vehicle line-up is largely made up of Hiluxes, Prado’s & Coasters and will continue to be supplied over the coming months as stock arrives. These new leased vehicles will be used by Government Ministries and Departments around Fiji.
The leasing agreement whilst putting a debit in the government’s account, gives them access to a particular set of assets at the same time. Under the new leasing agreement, Asco Motors will provide back-up service for all vehicles ensuring that the vehicles are well maintained for the four year lease period. At the end of the fourth year, the general public would be able to purchase these quality used vehicles.
Team Leader Sales Mohammed Kaiyum says “we are excited to be able to deliver this large batch of government vehicles. We’ve already delivered eight in July, three in September, sixteen Prados in October, and in November seventeen Prados and three Hiluxes. Now we are all geared up for the December delivery of twenty-seven Hiluxes”.
As part of the agreement, during the four year period, all servicing, repairs and maintenance for the vehicles will be carried out by Asco Motors. Additionally as part of this agreement, Government will use Avis rental vehicles as and when their need arises.
